Meet JJ — A* Sociology Mentor

“Most students are not struggling because they lack intelligence. They are struggling because they have been taught content — not performance.”

JJ is an A* Sociology student, educated at a top five UK school, helping students master the essay technique, structure and evaluation skills examiners reward.

Is Your Child Stuck Below A*?

Your child may know the content — but still lose marks because their structure, evaluation, or exam precision is not yet top-band.

Stuck At A High B Or A

They know the content, but their essays still do not consistently hit the highest bands.

Vague Feedback

They are told to “evaluate more” or “add depth” — but not shown exactly what to write differently.

Marks Lost Under Pressure

When the clock is ticking, structure, timing and precision can fall apart entirely.

The DPX Method

The 3-Step A* Sociology System

We diagnose the weak points, build a personalised essay framework, then train it through weekly 1:1 coaching and detailed feedback.

1

Diagnose Lost Marks

We review your child’s essays, target grade, exam board and confidence level to identify exactly where marks are being lost.

2

Build The Framework

Your child learns how to structure stronger answers, sharpen evaluation, and turn complex theory into examiner-ready writing.

3

Train Until It Sticks

Through frequent 1:1 sessions, essay marking and weekly targets, strong exam technique becomes consistent — not accidental.

Questions Parents Ask Before Booking

Clear answers to the questions parents usually ask before joining the DPX Sociology Mastery programme.

Is this just normal tutoring?

No. Normal tutoring usually explains content. DPX Sociology Mastery focuses on performance: essay structure, exam technique, evaluation, marking, weekly targets and accountability.

Who is this programme for?

It is best for ambitious Year 12 students preparing for A-Level Sociology, especially those aiming for B, A or A* grades.

My child already gets high Bs or As. Will this still help?

Yes. Moving into A/A* territory usually requires sharper evaluation, stronger structure and better exam execution — not just more revision.

How is this different from school support?

School support is often broad. This programme is personalised around your child’s exam board, essays, weaknesses, target grade and weekly progress.

Why is it more expensive than standard tutoring?

Because this is not one casual lesson per week. The programme can include 4–5 online 1:1 sessions per week, essay marking, model answers, weekly targets, performance tracking and direct support between sessions.

What if my child is busy?

Sessions are designed around after-school availability, with most sessions available after 5pm and later availability on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

How quickly should we expect improvement?

With full commitment, students should see measurable improvement in confidence, exam technique and written performance within 4–6 weeks.

Does this cover AQA Sociology?

Yes. The programme is especially focused on AQA A-Level Sociology, with support adapted around the student’s exam board where needed.
